Gord Wiebe – Managing Director
Mr. Wiebe has 37-years of experience in managing, leasing, and asset & portfolio management in commercial real estate in the United States and Canada. Currently, Mr. Wiebe is a consultant with Tom Capital Associates, Inc. based in Calgary, Canada. Tom Capital consults and sources deals in oil and gas, real estate ownership & development, secondary lending activities, manufacturing, and other related industries. Mr. Wiebe has served in both his roles with U.S. Properties Group, Inc. and Tom Capital Associates, Inc. for the last 21 years. Previously, Mr. Wiebe served as Director and CFO of a Toronto Based Stock Exchange listed real estate company and, was an owner/manager of a property leasing and management firm with $1 billion of real estate assets under his management. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accounts and presenter of various ICSC and Real Estate Forums.
Cynthia A. Hicks – Senior Vice President of Real Estate & Development
Ms. Hicks is a 23-year veteran of U.S. Properties Group, Inc. and manages the South Carolina office of USPG. She has successfully accumulated over 39-years of experience in the commercial real estate world having an extensive background and involvement with national retailers in the development, re-development, and leasing & management of anchor (“big box”) space. Her territory includes, but is not limited, the Southeastern United States for USPG. Ms. Hicks is the company affiliate for the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). She is an alumnus of the University of South Carolina, a scholarship donor and a proud member of the Gamecock Club. She is a member of the First Baptist Church, the American Sailing Association, Lake Murray Sailing Club, and the Columbia Chapter of Women in Business. She resides on Lake Murray in Columbia, South Carolina.
Darin Hobson – General Manager
Mr. Hobson has 25 years of financial experience. In addition to the management of USPG’s day-to-day operations – he manages risk and tax management, coordinating the transaction team, lender relations, and assisting ownership with acquisitions. Prior to joining U.S. Properties Group, Mr. Hobson worked in multifamily/warehouse development and as a commercial appraiser. He also consulted on process improvement with the Department of Defense and served in the Ohio Army National Guard. Mr. Hobson has both his bachelor’s degree and MBA from The Ohio State University and resides in Columbus, OH with his wife and two sons.
Rachel Spitzen – Corporate Counsel
Ms. Spitzen has been with U.S. Properties Group since 2016 and has 18 years of experience managing commercial real estate transactions. Ms. Spitzen is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the Ohio Bar Association. She is a graduate of the Ohio State University and Capital University Law School. Ms. Spitzen is from Columbus, OH – she currently resides in Worthington, OH with her husband.
